DPBS (Dulbecco's Phosphate-Buffered Saline), Calcium- and Magnesium-Free is a specially formulated balanced salt solution without calcium, magnesium ions or phenol red. It is particularly suitable for basic cell culture operations including chelator rinsing prior to cell dissociation, cell transportation/storage, and pre-experiment cell dilution. By elimiting divalent cations, this formulation prevents cell aggregation and ensures the reliability of subsequent experimental procedures, making it an essential routine reagent for cell culture laboratories.
