The EazeQuant BCA Protein Assay Kit is a detergent-compatible method for colorimetrically detecting and quantifying total protein. The assay involves the reduction of Cu²⁺ to Cu¹⁺ by protein in an alkaline solution, followed by the sensitive and selective detection of the resulting Cu¹⁺ with bicinchoninic acid (BCA). This reaction produces a purple, water-soluble complex that strongly absorbs light at 562 nm. Compatible with various detergents and buffers for protein quantification across diverse sample types. Supports both microplate and cuvette assays. Features:

Workflow Overview

1. Prepare BSA standards and BCA working reagent.
2. Add standards or samples, followed by the working reagent.
3. Incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes.
4. Measure absorbance at 562 nm.
5. Generate a standard curve and calculate protein concentrations.
