EazeQuant BCA Protein Assay Kit, 1 L (5000 T)

The EazeQuant BCA Protein Assay Kit is a detergent-compatible method for colorimetrically detecting and quantifying total protein. The assay involves the reduction of Cu²⁺ to Cu¹⁺ by protein in an alkaline solution, followed by the sensitive and selective detection of the resulting Cu¹⁺ with bicinchoninic acid (BCA). This reaction produces a purple, water-soluble complex that strongly absorbs light at 562 nm.  Compatible with various detergents and buffers for protein quantification across diverse sample types. Supports both microplate and cuvette assays.

Workflow Overview

1. Prepare BSA standards and BCA working reagent.
2. Add standards or samples, followed by the working reagent.
3. Incubate at 37°C for 30 minutes.
4. Measure absorbance at 562 nm.
5. Generate a standard curve and calculate protein concentrations.
