EazeBind HSP60 Monoclonal Antibody (4B9/89), 1 mg/mL, 100 µg

HSP60 is a highly conserved protein found in the mitochondria of all eukaryotic cells, playing a critical role in maintaining cellular function. As a member of the chaperonin family, HSP60 assists in the proper folding and assembly of newly synthesized proteins and the refolding of misfolded proteins within the mitochondrial matrix. HSP60 is essential for mitochondrial protein homeostasis and function, contributing to processes such as protein import, folding, and complex assembly. Posttranslational modifications of HSP60, including phosphorylation and acetylation, regulate its activity and interactions with other mitochondrial proteins. These modifications can influence HSP60's chaperone activity, thereby affecting mitochondrial health and the cellular response to stress. Epitope mapping studies using human HSP60 deletion mutants suggest that this antibody binds either between amino acids 335-366 or 484-547. Reconstitute in 100 µ L PBS to create a stock of 1 mg/mL.
